...on the field at Kyle Field

Howdy everyone, it's Chris! Got a little story to tell ya....I was driving up to see the Ags face the Baylor Bears in the "Battle of the Brazos." I'm five minutes outside of Aggieland and I get a call from my buddy that has a sweet site website that my wife says I spend too much time on (http://www.texags.com/). He wasn't going to be able to take pictures of the game, so he asked me if I wanted to be on the sideline......you bet I did! Well, I get a quick lesson on how to operate the camera (never done this before) and head out to be a "professional" photographer for Texags. I love my seats, but getting to be on the sideline (yeah that's me in the bib) was so cool.

I was able to grab some great photos and experience Kyle Field in a way that I never have before. Thanks Brandon for allowing me the amazing experience! Below are a couple pictures that I took.

Casting Crowns Concert

I really wanted to see Casting Crowns this year on tour. I found out they were coming to Houston on the night of my cousin's rehearsal dinner, so Chris and I decided to travel to San Antonio to see the opening night of the tour. Chris was able to get great seats....close to the stage and speakers (good thing the baby cannot hear yet!). We had a blast!! John Waller and Leeland opened and they were amazing! We also were able to stay with our friends, Cindy and Caleb that live in the Alamo City. My good friend Cindy is just about to have her baby, so it was neat to see her one more time before she becomes a mommy. Traveling is still quite tiring, but things are getting better slowly but surely now that I am entering the 2nd trimester.

Psalm 139:13

Well, we had our second ultrasound this week. I cannot get over how it already looks like a baby and has such a great profile. Technology is great!! I was relieved to see the baby is doing well. I myself not so good, have lost about 10 pounds not being able to eat. But I am assured by all that it will not last long and I will see those 10 pounds again. We heard the heartbeat, it was so awesome. I could not even look at Chris for fear that I would go into a crying fit and the tech would not be able to ultrasound my moving belly. But I would say he was pretty speechless afterwards. Just about through the first trimester and I cannot believe it.

I am in such awe of all the things that happen during pregnancy to make this baby, that my body just knows what to do. I also have this indescribable feeling knowing God is creating this baby inside me and He already knows everything about it!!! I often find myself thinking about Psalm 139:13 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.
I always thought about this from my perspective of when I was made, but now there is something supernatural about knowing that same God is knitting my baby inside me!!! Our God is so good!!!

Chris is thrilled to have A&M football in season. Hopefully soon we will have more things to post, currently I am just too tired to do much. But things can only get better!

Seasons of Change

As many already know there has been a big change in store for our future. The picture says it all. We decided today to tell everyone. Trying to keep it a secret was pretty difficult. I am about 8 & 1/2 weeks along, due around April 3rd. We are so grateful and praise God for our little blessing.

In addition to the new pregnancy I thought I would try and figure this whole blog thing out. Yes me, who said I would probably never be savvy enough to blog. I am a rookie, bear with me.
